What Do Pro Mujer, Salma Hayek Pinault, V-Day, Redbook and “Puss in Boots 3D” All Have in Common?

The stars were out at last night’s exclusive advanced screening of “Puss in Boots 3D” hosted by Redbook magazine and Mexican actress, director and humanitarian Salma Hayek Pinault. The event, which was held at the stunning Hearst Tower in New York City, included a cocktail reception and a silent auction of – you guessed it – more than 40 pairs of boots from top designers including Stella McCartney, Gucci and Tory Burch. Proceeds from the auction went to Pro Mujer and V-Day in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

A long-time Pro Mujer supporter, Salma Hayek Pinault served as Honorary Chair of our “Giving Women Credit” benefit held in New York City in November of 2010. In addition, Salma has helped us expand our pediatric and maternal care services in Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico, Nicaragua and Peru through her generous donations.

“Puss in Boots 3D” also stars Antonio Banderas and Zack Galifianakis and hits theaters on October 28^th.

Las estrellas estuvieron presentes en la premier exclusiva del “Gato con Botas 3D” organizada por la revista Redbook y la actriz, directora y humanitaria Salma Hayek Pinault.  El evento, el cual se celebró en la impresionante Torre Hearst en Nueva York, incluyó un cóctel de recepción y una subasta silenciosa de más de 40 pares de botas de diseñadores de alta costura tales como Stella McCartney, Gucci y Tory Burch. Las ganancias de la subasta fueron donadas a Pro Mujer y la organización V-Day en honor al Mes en Contra de la Violencia Doméstica.

Salma Hayek, una importante fuente de apoyo para Pro Mujer desde hace algunos años, sirvió como Presidente Honoraria de nuestro evento a beneficio “Giving Women Credit” en noviembre del 2010.
